Data-related professions are experiencing significant evolution, with both established and emerging roles meeting organisations' growing needs. The Data Science TAF prepares students for three main career families:
Data Science & Machine Learning
These professions, at the heart of digital transformation, combine algorithmic expertise and advanced mathematics to extract value from data:
- Data Scientist: design of advanced algorithms and predictive models
- Machine Learning Engineer: industrialisation of AI models
These roles are complemented by the AI Ethics Specialist, a specialised function that has become essential for ensuring responsible AI development.
Data & Analytics
These professions, focused on decision support and business performance, transform data into strategic information for the enterprise:
- Data Analyst: data exploitation and visualisation for decision support
- Business Intelligence Analyst: creation of dashboards and KPIs
- Decision Support Analyst: decision-making guidance
The Data Storyteller, an emerging role, facilitates the communication of analyses to decision-makers.
Data Engineering & Architecture
These professions enable the creation and maintenance of infrastructures necessary for large-scale data exploitation:
- Data Engineer: creation and maintenance of data infrastructures
- Big Data Architect: design of distributed architectures
These are complemented by cross-functional roles such as Data Quality Analyst and Data Protection Officer, ensuring data quality and compliance.

Our graduates hold various positions across:
- Major corporations (BNP Paribas, AXA, Orange, Thalès, SNCF, La Poste, EDF, LVMH)
- Consulting firms (WaveStone, BI Consulting, Business & Decision)
- Tech companies and startups (Cityzen Data, Supermood, Deezer, Twitter)
Recruiting sectors span finance, industry, tech, retail, and energy. Salaries range from €35-40k at career start to €70-180k for senior positions, particularly in international roles.
